Bio

I have been in education for eleven years and an administrator for three. I began my career at Neuqua Valley High School in Naperville, Illinois. I spent a wonderful five years there as an English Teacher.

After my husband Charlie and I had our first daughter, Autumn, I decided that Chicago was too busy for our family. I wanted a more peaceful environment to raise my daughter. I was lucky enough to accept a teaching position at Woodland Park High School in Woodland Park, CO. I spent six years there as well, where I learned a lot about Colorado Education and was fortunate enough to apply my knowledge in several leadership positions. Within that time I also had my second daughter, Chloe.

After having two beautiful daughters, I knew that it was my job to find the best education that Colorado had to offer as a mother and as an educator. St. Vrain Valley was my first choice. I am proud to say that my research and determination paid off and my children are currently attending Lyons Elementary and I am the Assistant Principal here at Sunset. I truly could not ask for anything more.

As a student I have been the recipient of good teaching and bad. As a teacher I have worked under good leaders and bad. I cannot stress how important it is to have excellent teachers and excellent administration. I am here to carry on the Sunset tradition and to continue to help make St. Vrain Valley the best school district in the State of Colorado. My door is always open to staff, students and community members. Thank you for this life-changing opportunity.
